Our medical team is an integral part of ensuring our guests enjoy their Shambhala experience in a safe environment. Please note that proof of current and valid certification for roles in our Medical team are required.

Review the new Medical Volunteer Recruitment Information prior to completing this application for important information.

The deadline to apply for the Medical Team is March 1, 2019. Any applications received after March 1st will be reviewed on a case by case basis dependent on need.

Professional Information / Certification


Are you licensed outside of B.C.?

If you hold equivalent licenses from outside the province of British Columbia, you must obtain licensure in British Columbia from your appropriate licensing body to be eligible to volunteer.

To ensure your application is considered, please review the licensing information below then complete the remaining questions and email us at medical@shambhalamusicfestival.com with confirmation that you will apply for licensure in BC once you have been confirmed a position. Due to potential costs involved we recommend you wait until you have confirmed a position with SMF Medical.

You WILL NOT be eligible to volunteer without appropriate BC credentials.


MDs - To apply for temporary registration with CPSBC as a Visiting Physician please visit the CPSBC Website

RNs - To apply for temporary registration with BCCNP for a special event please visit the BCCNP website.

Paramedics - To apply for a BC EMA license visit the Emergency Medical Assistants Licensing Board website

If you wish to be considered as an ATV driver, please upload your driver’s license now.

Missing Certifications?

To help make the registration process as smooth as possible, please make every effort to upload your certifications now. If however, you do not currently have the required certification ready to upload, you are still welcome to apply.

Please note that your application will not be considered complete until your missing certifications have been received.

In order to improve team cohesion and patient care, our Medical team scheduling is set according to the following set of paired shifts covered by five teams:

Please indicate ALL shifts you are available for. Limited availability may reduce your chances of placement.

Please Note: Priority placement is given to volunteers who worked Teams 3, 4, or 5 last year whenever possible, then returning volunteers from all other shifts, and finally new volunteers. Teams 3, 4 and 5 offer the best clinical care experience.








Note: This must be a headshot of you. You are allowed to wear a hat, but please no dark sunglasses or masks. We must be able to identify you based on the photo provided. Photos that do not meet this criteria, or are considered to be inappropriate by our HR staff will be rejected.
